A personalized plan rather than a fixed procedure — and not every patient needs every treatment in it.

Dental veneers can provide a long-lasting cosmetic improvement when they are properly planned, placed, and maintained. Ceramic veneers commonly last around 10 to 15 years or longer, while composite restorations may require maintenance or touch-ups sooner. Their lifespan depends on oral hygiene, bite, teeth grinding, habits, and the condition of the natural teeth. Dr. Sawsan Awartani evaluates each patient before recommending Dental Veneers, Composite Veneers, or E-max Veneers and provides guidance on maintaining the result.
Dental veneers and composite bonding can both improve the appearance of chipped, uneven, discolored, or spaced teeth, but the treatments are different. Composite Bonding uses tooth-colored resin shaped directly on the tooth and may require little enamel alteration in suitable cases. Dental Veneers cover the front surface of the tooth and can provide a more comprehensive change in shape, color, and proportions. The best option depends on the patient’s teeth, bite, desired result, and amount of correction required.
Professional Teeth Whitening / Zoom Whitening is generally considered safe when the teeth and gums are properly assessed and the treatment is carried out appropriately. Temporary tooth sensitivity and gum irritation are among the most common side effects. Whitening affects natural teeth but does not lighten crowns, veneers, or other tooth-colored restorations in the same way. Dr. Sawsan Awartani assesses each patient before whitening to determine whether treatment is suitable for their teeth and gums.
A Hollywood Smile or Smile Makeover is not one fixed treatment. Depending on the patient’s teeth and goals, the plan may include veneers, teeth whitening, composite bonding, crowns, gum contouring, teeth reshaping, or a combination of cosmetic treatments. Dr. Sawsan Awartani evaluates the teeth, gums, bite, facial features, and desired result before creating a personalized treatment plan rather than applying the same approach to every smile.
Some gaps between teeth can be treated without braces, depending on the size of the space, tooth position, bite, and the proportions of the surrounding teeth. Small cosmetic gaps may sometimes be improved with Composite Bonding, Dental Veneers, or Diastema (Gap) Closure treatment. Larger gaps or spaces caused by tooth-position problems may require a different approach. Dr. Sawsan Awartani assesses the cause of the gap before recommending the most appropriate treatment.
A tooth may require Root Canal Treatment when the pulp inside it becomes inflamed, infected, or irreversibly damaged. Possible signs include persistent tooth pain, prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, pain when biting, swelling, or tenderness around the tooth. However, symptoms alone cannot confirm the need for a root canal, so a dental examination and appropriate diagnostic tests are necessary. Root canal treatment is designed to remove infected or damaged tissue and help preserve the natural tooth when possible.
