Can Gaps Between Teeth Be Closed Without Braces?
Some spaces can be treated cosmetically. It depends on why the gap is there, how large it is and how the bite works.

Some gaps between teeth can be improved without braces, but the right treatment depends on why the gap exists, its size, tooth position, tooth proportions, and the patient’s bite. Small cosmetic spaces may sometimes be treated with Composite Bonding, where tooth-colored resin is added and shaped to reduce the space.
Dental Veneers can also be considered in appropriate cases, particularly when changes to tooth shape, proportions, or color are desired at the same time. However, larger gaps or spaces caused by significant tooth-position issues may require orthodontic treatment or another approach.
Simply making teeth wider is not appropriate in every case because the final proportions and bite need to remain balanced. Dr. Sawsan Awartani assesses the cause of the Diastema (Gap) before recommending treatment. Her dental experience spans Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai.
